Free GMB Tools

Free GMB tools for a Google Business Profile, the listing Google used to call Google My Business. Start with the free GMB tool when you want a score, open the analyzer when you want the rubric, and use the paid report when you need competitor analysis and a PDF you can send.

The search box that starts the audit is on the homepage. Pick the business from the Google dropdown. A keyword is optional. 3 free previews every 24 hours, after an email. No Google login.

What each tool is for

The tools on this site, and what each one is for.

Plans start at $19/mo. The $9 report is the one-time option when you only need one listing. For how a public-profile score relates to the local pack, read the GBP audit for local SEO.

Free GMB audit preview

For a first look at one public listing. This is the GMB free tool: search the business on the homepage, pick it from the Google dropdown, and enter an email. You get 3 previews every 24 hours. The screen shows a score out of 100, a letter grade, the weakest scored area, the finding count, and one finding in plain text. Other findings from that run stay locked. It works in any country, with no Google login.

$9 full audit report

For the evidence behind that score, on the listing you just previewed. The $9 report adds full score breakdown and evidence, local competitor benchmarks, prioritized fixes with measurable targets, and a 30/60/90-day plan and emailed PDF. As a GMB SEO audit, it reviews the public Google Business Profile, not a crawl of the whole website. Checkout is on the free preview and covers that listing only.

Google Business Profile analyzer

For reading how the score is built. The analyzer is the GMB analysis tool on this site. It lists the public signals that are scored, how the weights work, and what is left out, including posts, owner reply rate, and Google Performance counts. It is the same audit, with the rubric written out. It does not log in to the dashboard.

White-label PDF reports

For sending the report under your name. Freelancer ($19/mo, 15 full audits) and Agency ($49/mo, 60 full audits) can put your agency name, logo, color, and contact details on the PDF. Freelancer PDFs keep a Powered by GMB Audit line. Agency PDFs leave GMB Audit branding off.

Scheduled audits

For repeating the report on a plan. Freelancer ($19/mo) and Agency ($49/mo) can schedule a weekly or monthly rerun in the client's timezone. Freelancer can keep 10 schedules. Agency can keep 50. Each send runs a fresh audit and emails the PDF to up to 5 recipients. The first email sets a baseline. Later emails show the score beside the previous one. The $9 one-time report does not include a schedule.

GMB audit checklist

For the owner-only fields this audit cannot see. The checklist is a manual pass in the Google Business Profile dashboard: categories, description, photos, reviews, posts, hours, the website, and citations. Use it beside the score, not instead of reading what the score actually measured.

Sample report

For seeing the paid layout before you buy. The sample is a fictional business, Harbor Dental Studio. The page and the downloadable PDF are example data, not a live Google result, and the sample itself cannot be purchased.

Other GMB work

Rank tracking, review management, and posting are different jobs.

Rank tracking

A rank tracker stores map positions over time, often on a geo-grid. This audit does not. If you add a keyword, it runs a Places relevance probe around the business, and that probe can cap the score. Scheduled audits rescore the listing. They do not chart map-pack positions.

Review management

Review management means requesting reviews and replying to them. These GMB tools do neither. They read the public review count and average rating, and the paid report compares those with nearby competitors when a competitor set is returned. Owner reply rate is not scored, because the public sample is not a reliable reply rate.

Posting

Posting means publishing updates, offers, products, services, or Q&A on the profile. This site does not publish or schedule those. They are also not part of the score. The checklist is the list to work through in the dashboard.

An audit is the diagnostic that sits beside those jobs. It shows which public fields are thin, how the review count and rating compare locally, and which fixes are listed first. Rank tracking, review replies, and posts still happen in the Google Business Profile dashboard or in tools built for those tasks.

FAQ

Free GMB tools questions

The sample report shows the paid sections with fictional data. The checklist covers dashboard fields this audit does not score.

What GMB tools are on this page?

The GMB tools here are Free GMB audit preview, $9 full audit report, Google Business Profile analyzer, White-label PDF reports, Scheduled audits, GMB audit checklist, Sample report. Each one above says what it is for and where to open it. The free preview is the GMB free tool. The analyzer is the GMB analysis tool. Competitor comparison is inside the paid report.

Is this GMB tool free?

The preview is free: 3 every 24 hours, and an email is required before the score, grade, weakest area, and finding count are shown. A single full audit is $9. Freelancer is $19/mo for 15 full audits. Agency is $49/mo for 60 full audits.

What does the paid GMB audit report include?

The $9 report adds full score breakdown and evidence, local competitor benchmarks, prioritized fixes with measurable targets, and a 30/60/90-day plan and emailed PDF. It is the GMB SEO audit of that public profile, not a crawl of the whole website. Checkout is on the free preview and covers the listing you searched.

Does this include GMB competitor analysis?

GMB competitor analysis is part of the paid report, not a separate product. The audit compares the listing with up to 5 nearby businesses on review count, rating, primary category, and a photo sample. Competitor names are not on the free preview.

Do these tools track ranks, manage reviews, or publish posts?

No. Rank tracking over time, review replies, and posts are separate tasks. The keyword probe is a Places relevance check that can cap the score. It does not store rank history. The tools read the public review count and rating. They do not request or reply to reviews, and reply rate is not scored. Posts, products, services, and Q&A are not scored and are not published from here.

What do the Freelancer and Agency plans add?

Freelancer is $19/mo for 15 full audits, with your logo on the PDF and a Powered by GMB Audit line. Agency is $49/mo for 60 full audits, and those PDFs leave off GMB Audit branding. Both can schedule weekly or monthly audits: Freelancer up to 10 schedules, Agency up to 50, each emailed to up to 5 recipients. The $9 report is one listing and does not include a schedule.
